A pooled analysis and real-world case series presented at Optometry's Meeting found that Biotrue OneDay (nesofilcon A) contact lenses helped 9 out of 10 patients achieve 20/20 vision or better after switching from monthly lenses — with a low rate of adverse events across more than 300 patients.
Switching to daily lenses just got easier. New data presented at Optometry's Meeting in Phoenix suggest that Biotrue OneDay (nesofilcon A, Bausch + Lomb) contact lenses are a strong daily disposable option for patients transitioning away from monthly replacement schedules. In a real-world case series of 10 patients, 9 out of 10 achieved 20/20 visual acuity or better at their most recent follow-up — up from 7 out of 10 before switching. Patients cited better comfort, convenience, visual stability, and reduced allergy symptoms as key reasons for making the change.
On the safety front, a pooled analysis of three 3-month studies — comparing nesofilcon A against other daily disposables — found a reassuringly low rate of adverse events, with no serious events and no slit lamp findings above grade two.
