Real-world data confirms Pluvicto's clinical trial promise. The French PSMA-REACH study found that lutetium Lu 177 vipivotide tetraxetan (Pluvicto) delivered a median overall survival of 13.1 months in heavily pretreated metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients — closely mirroring the pivotal VISION trial results. No new safety signals were identified across 439 patients treated in routine clinical practice.
Real-world results for Pluvicto hold up outside the clinical trial setting. The French PSMA-REACH study — a retrospective, multicenter chart review across 26 sites — evaluated lutetium Lu 177 vipivotide tetraxetan in 439 heavily pretreated mCRPC patients treated through France's early-access program. The findings, presented at the 2026 ESMO Congress, closely mirror those from the pivotal phase 3 VISION trial that led to the drug's FDA approval in March 2022.
Patients in this cohort had received a median of 3 prior treatments, including at least one ARPI and one taxane chemotherapy. Despite this heavy pretreatment burden, the therapy demonstrated meaningful efficacy with a manageable safety profile — no new safety signals emerged, and 90.4% of adverse events resolved by study's end.
By the Numbers:
Why it matters: Real-world studies are the true test of whether clinical trial results translate to everyday practice. PSMA-REACH confirms that Pluvicto delivers consistent survival benefits even in a broader, more diverse patient population — strengthening confidence in its use as a standard-of-care option for advanced prostate cancer.
