Telehealth meets big pharma: Hims & Hers has struck a deal with Eli Lilly to offer FDA-approved obesity medications — Zepbound and Foundayo — directly through its platform. Patients can now consult, get prescribed, and receive Lilly's GLP-1 drugs without ever leaving the app. Self-pay pricing starts at $149/month for Foundayo and $299/month for Zepbound.
Hims & Hers and Eli Lilly team up to streamline access to branded weight loss drugs
Hims & Hers has inked a new partnership with Eli Lilly, giving its platform direct access to two FDA-approved GLP-1 medications: injectable Zepbound (tirzepatide) and daily oral Foundayo (orforglipron). Previously, Lilly drugs were only accessible to Hims & Hers users if they navigated away to Lilly's own direct-to-consumer site, LillyDirect. Now, patients can consult a provider, get a prescription, and have medication shipped home — all in one seamless experience.
The deal mirrors Hims & Hers' earlier partnership with Novo Nordisk, which began selling Wegovy and Ozempic through the platform in March. The company has been actively pivoting away from compounded GLP-1 drugs — a shift that has come with significant financial strain, including $178 million in combined losses across Q1 and Q2.
By the Numbers:
Why it matters: This deal signals a broader industry shift toward integrating telehealth platforms with major pharma manufacturers to expand affordable, convenient access to branded obesity treatments — potentially reshaping how millions of Americans manage weight loss care.
