A real-world study finds vibegron keeps OAB patients happy and on treatment. Nearly 70% of overactive bladder patients reported consistent satisfaction with vibegron over 12 months, and almost 60% stuck with the treatment for the full year. Most patients also preferred it over their previous therapy, with meaningful improvements in symptoms and quality of life.
A large real-world study is giving vibegron, a beta-3 agonist used for overactive bladder (OAB), strong reviews. Across 45 US sites, 403 patients who had previously tried anticholinergics or mirabegron were switched to vibegron 75 mg once daily and followed for a year — and the results were encouraging.
Nearly 70% of patients reported consistent satisfaction with vibegron over 12 months, and close to 60% stayed on the medication for the full year. Symptom severity dropped significantly, and quality of life scores climbed. Of those who completed the satisfaction survey at 12 months, 77.9% said they preferred vibegron over their prior treatment.
Why it matters: For the millions of people living with OAB, finding a treatment they'll actually stick with is half the battle. These real-world findings reinforce vibegron's phase 3 trial data and suggest it could be a strong option for patients who haven't found success with older therapies.
