Healthcare compliance is a paperwork nightmare — and Readily wants to fix that. The AI platform just raised $11M in Series A funding to help health plans keep up with ever-changing regulations. Already covering 25 million individuals across 46 states, Readily is turning binders and spreadsheets into automated, audit-ready workflows.
Healthcare compliance is a paperwork nightmare — and Readily wants to fix that. The AI startup just closed an $11M Series A round led by Define Ventures, with backing from Y Combinator and the California Health Care Foundation Innovation Fund. The platform is designed to help health plans and healthcare organizations manage the crushing volume of regulatory requirements — think 10,000 rules that change roughly 700 times a year — without drowning their compliance teams in manual research.
Here's how it works: when CMS drops new rules, Readily's platform analyzes them against existing policies and contracts within hours, flags gaps, assigns action items, and keeps an audit trail. The AI handles the reading and matching; the compliance officer makes the calls. It's a division of labor that CEO Edward Tiong says his customers trust — and it's already working at scale, including with L.A. Care, the nation's largest publicly operated health plan.
By the Numbers:
Why it matters: As regulatory scrutiny intensifies and margins tighten, health plans are under mounting pressure to do more with less. Readily's growth signals a broader shift toward AI-powered infrastructure for compliance — potentially freeing up staff to focus on member care rather than paperwork.
