Forus, an AI healthcare platform, just raised $150 million in a Series C round, tripling its valuation to $3 billion in just four months. The platform uses AI agents to help doctors and patients navigate the gap between a prescription and actually starting treatment — covering insurance approvals, financial assistance, and drug supply. With over $300 million raised in total, Forus is now eyeing expansion across more specialties and care settings.
Forus, an AI-powered healthcare platform formerly known as Tandem, has closed a $150 million Series C funding round led by Bain Capital Ventures, pushing its valuation to $3 billion — a threefold jump in just four months. Existing backers including Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, and Accel also participated, bringing the company's total funding to over $300 million.
The New York-based startup's platform deploys AI agents to smooth out the notoriously frustrating journey between a doctor writing a prescription and a patient actually receiving their medication. That means handling insurance prior authorizations, financial assistance programs, and medicine supply logistics — all in one place. The company plans to use the new funds to expand across more medical specialties and care settings, broaden its technology's capabilities, and grow its workforce.
