Healthcare AI startup GenHealth.ai just landed $16.5M in Series A funding to deploy AI agents that handle administrative work in provider offices. Its agents manage everything from prior authorizations to billing and denials—directly inside EHRs and payer portals. One early adopter reported a 4x productivity boost and nearly $1.2M in projected annual savings.
Healthcare AI startup GenHealth.ai has closed a $16.5 million Series A round led by Flare Capital Partners, with participation from Craft Ventures, Obvious Ventures, Eniac Ventures, and others. Founded in 2023, the company builds AI agents that work end-to-end inside existing provider systems—EHRs, payer portals, fax, and billing platforms—to handle revenue cycle tasks like intake, eligibility checks, prior authorizations, and denial management.
What sets GenHealth apart, according to its CEO Ricky Sahu, is that its agents aren't bolted on top of existing workflows—they're embedded directly into them, with additional intelligence drawn from a model trained on data from 140 million patients. The company says its revenue has quadrupled in the last six months, and its agents are on track to execute over 75 million actions in customer systems over the next year.
By the Numbers:
Why it matters: Administrative burden is one of the biggest cost drivers in U.S. healthcare. Tools that can reliably automate revenue cycle workflows—without requiring providers to overhaul their existing systems—could meaningfully reduce burnout, cut costs, and speed up patient care.
