Nourish has launched a 24/7 AI Health Assistant embedded in its patient app, offering personalized guidance between dietitian visits. The tool draws on medical records, labs, and care plans to deliver real-time nudges, meal planning, and lab insights. Early results show meaningful improvements in patient engagement and weight loss outcomes.
Nourish has rolled out a generative AI-powered Health Assistant across its patient app, designed to keep patients engaged and on track between visits with their registered dietitian. The tool taps into each patient's medical records, lab results, goals, and Nourish's clinical protocols to deliver personalized meal guidance, appointment prep, prescription support, and insurance help — escalating to human staff when needed. Half of Nourish's active patients are already using it daily.
The results are turning heads. Patients with access to the chatbot are losing 15% more weight within 30 days and 30% more over 60 days. Meal logging is up 15% per day, and lab scheduling has doubled. The company credits the tool's ability to deliver timely, context-aware nudges that drive consistent daily behavior — small actions that compound into bigger outcomes over time.
By the Numbers:
Why it matters: As AI becomes more embedded in care delivery, Nourish's early data suggests that always-on, personalized AI support can meaningfully improve patient adherence and outcomes — pointing to a future where AI-augmented, human-led care becomes the standard.
