Combining ixekizumab (Taltz) and tirzepatide (Zepbound) continues to outperform ixekizumab alone at the 1-year mark for patients with moderate-to-severe psoriatic disease and obesity. Phase 3b TOGETHER-PsO and TOGETHER-PsA trials show sustained skin clearance, joint improvement, and cardiometabolic benefits with the combo. Experts say the findings could signal a new standard of care for treating psoriatic disease holistically.
The combination of ixekizumab (Taltz) and tirzepatide (Zepbound) keeps delivering. One-year data from Lilly's phase 3b TOGETHER-PsO and TOGETHER-PsA trials confirm that pairing an IL-17A inhibitor with a dual GLP-1/GIP agonist significantly outperforms ixekizumab alone in adults with moderate-to-severe psoriatic disease who also have overweight or obesity.
In TOGETHER-PsO (274 participants with plaque psoriasis), 30.6% of combo-therapy patients achieved complete skin clearance plus ≥10% weight loss at 52 weeks vs. just 4.4% on monotherapy. In TOGETHER-PsA (271 participants with psoriatic arthritis), 39.2% of the combo group hit the primary endpoint of ≥50% disease activity reduction plus ≥10% weight loss, compared to only 1.7% on monotherapy. Inflammatory and metabolic markers — including CRP, BMI, blood pressure, HbA1c, and cholesterol — also improved and held steady through the full year.
