Healthcare navigation platform Transcarent has rolled out a bundled payment model for advanced cancer therapies — specifically bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) and CAR T treatments — positioning it as a first of its kind in the employer benefits space. The model is designed to give employers more predictable costs while helping members access expert oncology care closer to home, whether at academic medical centers or high-quality community-based cancer care sites.
The new offering enhances Transcarent's existing Centers of Excellence (COE) program, with certified oncology nurse navigators (ONNs) guiding members through every step of their treatment. The company's Cancer Care Advisory Board Chair, Karen Knudsen, Ph.D., emphasized that expanding access to these therapies in community settings is a "critical step towards more equitable cancer care."
