Australian researchers from the University of Queensland and the University of New South Wales have taken biorobotics to a remarkable new frontier. They've developed "paraborgs" — giant burrowing cockroaches outfitted with miniature cameras and syringe-equipped backpacks — designed to navigate rubble and debris to deliver life-saving medications to disaster victims before human rescuers can reach them.
