Switchboard Health, an AI-driven specialty care navigation platform, has acquired virtual orthopedics and musculoskeletal (MSK) management company Livara Health. The deal integrates Livara's virtual-first, value-based MSK care model — covering care planning, virtual delivery, and navigation — directly into Switchboard's referral management platform. Primary care providers can now refer eligible patients to Livara's MSK specialists straight from their EHR, streamlining access to evidence-based care.
Alongside the acquisition, Switchboard closed a $5M oversubscribed funding round backed by First Trust Capital Partners, Route 66 Ventures, A1 Health Ventures, Allumia Ventures, and Martin Ventures. The company reports a 500% increase in patient volume over the past nine months and expects even faster growth ahead. This marks Switchboard's second acquisition in less than a year, following its September pickup of AI-driven multispecialty care solution Conduce Health.
