The combined company is also part of CMS's new ACCESS model for value-based chronic condition management.
Nutrition care startup Berry Street has merged with decade-old India-based health tech company Healthify to form what executives are calling the largest insurance-covered AI metabolic health platform in the U.S. The deal combines Healthify's AI nutrition assistant Ria — capable of logging meals from a photo in under a second — with Berry Street's nationwide network of 2,000+ registered dietitians, doctors, and nurse practitioners offering insurance-covered nutrition and GLP-1 care. Berry Street CEO Noah Kotlove and Healthify CEO Tushar Vashisht will serve as co-CEOs of the combined company.
The merger comes at a pivotal moment: 1 in 8 Americans is now on a GLP-1 drug, and 1 in 3 turns to AI for health guidance — double the share from just a year ago. The companies are betting that the winning formula isn't AI alone, but AI paired with clinical oversight and insurance coverage. Berry Street is also among the first participants in CMS's new ACCESS model, a 10-year value-based care program for chronic condition management.
