Louisiana's Ochsner Health is the first to go live, with four clinicians already using it.
Epic is doubling down on AI, and its newest tool has the outpatient clinic in its sights. Ergo Visit, launched at Epic's annual meeting in Wisconsin, is designed to act like a smart co-pilot for clinicians during office visits. It taps into Epic's existing EHR data to surface relevant patient information — think upcoming vaccinations, visit reasons, and health trends — before the appointment even begins. After the visit, it drafts notes and flags issues for clinician review.
Ochsner Health in Louisiana is the first health system to go live with the tool, with four primary care physicians using it as of August 3. Five additional physicians outside the system are also piloting it. Epic framed the tool as a ground-up reimagining of the office visit, built with today's technology in mind.
