Its FDA-cleared Happy Ring can diagnose obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep conditions in as few as three nights with 98% accuracy. The company aims to eventually expand into cardiovascular, metabolic, and other chronic disease management.
Digital health company Happy Health has closed a $75 million Series A round, led by ARCH Venture Partners and OpenLoop, to expand its AI-powered platform for continuous, home-based care. The Austin, Texas-based startup centers its technology on the Happy Ring, a clinical-grade smart ring that received its first FDA clearance in October 2024 and a second clearance for at-home sleep testing in June 2025—making it the first FDA-cleared smart ring for multi-night sleep testing and 24/7 biometric monitoring.
Unlike traditional diagnostics that compare patients to population averages, Happy Health's platform builds a personalized physiological baseline for each user, collecting over 2.8 million biometric measurements per night. AI and physiological models then help physicians identify meaningful changes from a patient's own normal—not just statistical norms. The platform can diagnose obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), insomnia, and related conditions in as few as three nights with 98% accuracy, and is in-network with major insurers including Blue Cross and Medicare.
