Teladoc Health has been named the preferred virtual primary care provider for the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), giving the union's roughly 450 current and retired NBA players — and their families — access to a full suite of virtual care services. The deal covers everything from 24/7 urgent care and primary care to mental health support, nutrition, dermatology, expert medical consultations, and health screenings.
The partnership also includes Teladoc's VirtualCheckup, a clinician-led preventive experience that combines blood work, health history reviews, depression and anxiety screenings, and personalized guidance. The two organizations plan to kick things off with a preventive health screening at Summer League in Las Vegas.
